I've been described by some as a late bloomer.

It was about a year and a half ago that something in me transformed.

I once knew a man who was angry at God.  The intensity of his pain had become so severe that he could no longer keep it hidden from view.  He gave up much to exit the prominent American religious institution that was the foundation of his identity.  He was warned by family members, his spouse, and church folk, that by doing so he'd lose his marriage.  That proved to be the case.

He lost much more than a beautiful wife, home and marriage.  He lost his dog too.  And his job.  [Cue: music jokes]

The root of his anger was because he felt God owed him. He saw himself as righteous before God, deserving to be restored for what he thought he had sacrificed for the sake of the kingdom of God.  If self righteousness was wine, this man was inebriated in a coma. 

But this blog isn't to tell the story of his loss. 

My purpose for posting these articles is to detail what I'm learning as a new creation in Christ Jesus, and hopefully to share spiritual truths about the kingdom of God. I anticipate many of the posts will be in study format, and I don't take full credit for their teaching. But I have been studying them, and will be forever grateful to the man who introduced me to the unadulterated teachings of Jesus Christ.

A word about comments:  Yes, do share your genuine thoughts.  Also, if you find mistakes, please kindly point them out.  I'm still learning and asking for the Lord God to reveal his Word, His kingdom, and His love IN me...
